Radheshyam and Kalia

Once there was a sage called Radheshyam and a snake called Kalia. The sage used to go for his evening prayer to the denser part of the forest where the snake lived. One day the snake heard someone chanting and went to see him. The snake was very delighted to see a sage because from childhood he wanted to learn *pranayam and he had a feeling that Radheshyam could teach him.

He went and asked Radheshyam but came back empty handed. Radheshyam had spoken to him very rudely and to take revenge he thought  he should bite him and kill him. While he was planning for revenge an old man heard him and thought he should help Radheshyam. So to help him he told the snake,”If you want to kill the sage you have a good chance tomorrow morning because he goes to the people tree over that hill every Wednesday to do his yoga. “The snake thanked him and started planning on his revenge for tomorrow morning. The next day the old man got up early and dressed up like Radheshyam and left for the hill. He started acting like he was doing yoga when Kalia came and waited to see what he does. Kalia slowly slithered towards him and bit him on the neck and ran away.
